 Hi Roger,

My name is Don Scobee. I was looking at the Car Nut web
site (which I frequent often) and saw the 1976 Fundamentals
Car Show. I was surprised when I opened it to see my old
1962 Dodge Lancer 4dr Station Wagon. The little girl playing
under the tailgate is my youngest daughter Kristen who is
now 37 years old. She was 4 then and now has a 4 year old
daughter who looks just like she did then. I believe the
show was on Father's Day 1976 at the old Diamond Inn out
west by the airport. The motel was torn down a few years
    ago.

That old car was given to me by my father-in-law (at the
time) because when he went to buy a new Buick they
didn't even want it as a trade-in. It had somewhat
different lines to it so I started stripping chrome etc.
The picture was after I had finished it and drove it a year
or two. I put a later model 225 cu.in.slant 6 in it, redid
the interior and painted it Corvette Ontario (Metallic)
Orange. The transmission still had the push-buttons on the
dash. It turned quite a few heads at the time. I don't
know if they liked it or just wondered what in the heck it
was. Sorry for going on so but I just needed to tell some
one "that was my car"! Thank you for putting it
in Car Nut. Is there any way to get a more clear picture of
it? It is a little fuzzy on my computer screen.

Thanks,
Don Scobee
